Drainage and Erosion Control

Applications and Inspection of Geosynthetics

The training module will cover all aspects of geosynthetic applications for roadway projects, including an overview of materials and their potential uses, how geosynthetics can be used for a successful project, best practices for installation, and what to look for during construction.

Registration

Mail or fax your registration or register online no later than one week prior to the program. Preregistration allows us to contact you if the workshop must be postponed due to weather or other factors. A refund of the registration fee, minus a $30 cancellation fee, will be made if written cancellation is received at least five working days before the workshop. Disability accommodations will be provided upon request.

Who Should Attend

County or city engineers or their technical staff who have responsibility for designing projects using geosynthetic materials, installing geosynthetics as part of roadway construction, or inspecting during construction.

Credit

  • 1.0 Roads Scholar Program elective credit
  • To the best of our knowledge, this course/activity meets the continuing education requirements for 6.0 PDHs as outlined in Minnesota Statute 326.107. More information concerning continuing education for professionals is online at www.aelslagid.state.mn.us.

Instructor

Steve Gale, of Gale-Tec Engineering, has broad expertise in the use of geosynthetics for transportation and industrial applications.

He has taught classes on geosynthetic design and installation around the upper Midwest, with a focus on practical applications for engineers and engineering technicians.

The registration fee includes lunch, coffee breaks, and program materials.
