Reducing Risk and Liability in Roadway Design, Construction, and Maintenance
This one-day workshop provides a basic
definition of tort liability and discussion of how it applies to
roadway design, construction, and maintenance. Minnesota case studies
are used to illustrate effective procedures to avoid liability
for governmental agencies. The workshop includes a video demonstrating
how good planning, record keeping, and procedures reduced one county's
liability in an actual case. Actual experiences are discussed during
the workshop.
