Minnesota Snow and Ice Control: Field Handbook for Snowplow Operators (2012)
The purpose of this field handbook is to help promote the understanding of the tools, best practices, and limitations for snow and ice control. In addition, it encourages progressive changes in snow and ice control practices that will help you reduce salt/sand use and environmental impacts while meeting the safety and mobility needs of roadway users.

Minnesota Local Road Research Board and Minnesota LTAP, 2012. This document provides specs for local agencies and the concrete industry to follow as they move through the life of a local concrete project. 

Minnesota's Best Practices for Traffic Sign Maintenance/Management Handbook
Minnesota Department of Transportation, Research Services Section, 2010
This guide is designed to assist agencies in their effort to better maintain the traffic signs on their system of roads and highways.

Winter Parking Lot and Sidewalk Maintenance Manual (2010)
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) sponsored the development of the Winter Parking Lot and Sidewalk Maintenance Manual. It is based on the Minnesota Snow and Ice Control Field Handbook for Snowplow Operators, produced by Minnesota LTAP, as well as on training materials used in an MPCA parking lot winter maintenance training class. The purpose of this manual is to deliver practical advice for improving operating efficiency and reducing environmental impacts to those who manage parking lots and sidewalks.

State Aid Concrete Pavement Rehabilitation Best Practices Manual 2006
This manual, a reformatted version of LRRB Manual 2005-33, has been designed to be used as specifications for concrete repair of local city streets and county concrete pavements. It is intended to be used as supplemental specifications for constructing this work throughout the state of Minnesota. All standard plates have been designated as SA, which is an abbreviation for State Aid.

Erosion Control Handbook for Local Roads (2003)
This manual will assist counties, townships, and local units of government by providing guidelines and methods for effective erosion control practices on low-volume roads.

Asphalt Pavement Maintenance Field Guide (2002)
This field guide provides guidelines for preventive asphalt pavement maintenance techniques for a variety of distresses and conditions. It covers rack treatments (clean and seal, rout and seal, full-depth crack repair), surface treatments (fog seal, seal coat, thin hot-mix overlays), and pothole patching and repair (cold-mix asphalt, spray injection patching, hot mix asphalt, slurry or micro-surfacing material).

Best Practices Handbook on Asphalt Pavement Maintenance (2000)
The purpose of this handbook is to provide background information about the importance of pavement preservation and preventive maintenance, as well as present maintenance techniques for a variety of distresses and conditions.

Best Practices Handbook on Roadside Vegetation (2000)
This manual strives to provide assistance to local agencies in roadside vegetation management operations by sharing information obtained from the many years of experience of those working in the field, and by highlighting new technology that is improving operations.
