Fifteen are academic research projects and 11 are consultant proposals funded through the LRRB Research Implementation Program. Projects will explore deicing alternatives, truck-weight impacts, pedestrian safety, and much more.

MnDOT received 83 proposals and selected 21 for funding; of those, 3 will be jointly funded by the LRRB. Topics include maintenance operations, materials and construction, policy and planning, and traffic safety.
